The Good Neighbor Policy

Putting Neighbors First. Building a Stronger Community.

A better HOA starts with being better neighbors. Our HOA should exist to protect property values, maintain community standards, and serve the people who call Regency Lakes home—not simply issue violations and collect fines. The Good Neighbor Policy is the first step toward creating a more welcoming, respectful, and community-focused HOA.

Under this proposed policy, communication comes before penalties. Instead of immediately issuing fines, homeowners would receive a friendly notice explaining the concern, an opportunity to discuss the issue, and reasonable time to correct it whenever possible. We can uphold neighborhood standards while treating one another with courtesy, understanding, and respect. The goal isn’t to eliminate accountability, but to make cooperation our first approach rather than punishment.

  1. A friendly noticeA note explaining the concern, not a fine.
  2. A conversationAn opportunity to discuss the issue.
  3. Time to correct itReasonable time to put things right whenever possible.

This policy represents the beginning of a larger vision for Regency Lakes—one built on transparency, responsible leadership, neighborhood improvements, and stronger relationships between residents. By shifting our focus from enforcement to engagement, we can create a community where homeowners feel heard, supported, and proud to call Regency Lakes home.

Good neighbors build great neighborhoods.
